It’s really difficult explaining what Web 2.0 is to the average user and the term has been tossed around so much that most people regard it as just another vacuous marketing slogan being used by people in the hope of selling more Macs, iPods, GPS enabled phones, and copies of Vista. But Web 2.0 is something that is both real and revolutionary and yet so broad and subtle that its effect on our lifestyle is hard to gauge. If you have ever used Digg, Flickr, Google Maps, RSS feeds, Facebook, Myspace, Wikipedia, Second Life, Del.icio.us and many more sites in the same vein, then you are already knowingly or unknowingly acquainted with Web 2.0.
Instead of trying to explain in detail what Web 2.0 is, I’ve come across a short video (on YouTube no less) that describes it an artistic and rather entertaining fashion. Even if you don’t understand everything that’s said, you can at least enjoy the typing.
